Here today for your consideration we have this beautiful vintage solid 12ct yellow gold bracelet, featuring a suite of seven (7) synthetic colour-change alexandrites and bearing Egyptian hallmarks. The quality is very good throughout, with the bracelet hallmarked to the catch and touch-marked in several places throughout. The clasp snaps closed as intended and is in good condition, with the safety chain complete and attached. The colour of the stones change from green-blue to purply-blue depending on the lighting conditions. A stunning tennis-style Egyptian revival bracelet for the collection.
The stones have approximate diameters of 10mm with an estimated total weight of 23.5cts, with the bracelet having a clasped length of 19cm extending to a generous 27cm with the safety chain. Unpacked, it weighs in at a respectable 19.32gms.
Due to the internal processors of digital cameras, the green-blue state of alexandrite is notoriously difficult to accurately photograph without the red hues appearing. Although not shown in the photos above, the stone does possess this colour change characteristic.
