Antique Victorian 1890 Solid 9ct Yellow Gold Large Shield Photo Locket Pendant

Here today for your consideration we have this superb Victorian solid 9ct yellow gold locket, bearing Australian gold hallmarks c-1890. The locket is of shield and dumbbell design, being studded with fourteen (14) paste stones in a ribbon and horseshoe arrangement. The pendant is in good antique condition with, a few minor depressions throughout and the discrete loss of one 2mm leaf from the bottom right hand section (per photos). The locket closes tightly and is hallmarked to the verso. A very attractive piece of estate jewellery for the collection. 

The locket measures 40mm to the top of the dumbbells and is 30mm wide, being 8mm deep when closed. Unpacked, it weighs in at 8.80gms.
