Here today for your consideration we have this lovely Victorian sterling silver vinaigrette, made by David Pettifer of Birmingham, c-1853. The box is of scalloped oval form with hatched detail and gilt interior with fancy grille, being of very good quality and gauge throughout. Condition is good used, with no damage to note. The hinges work as intended with the grille well held within the base. The piece is free from monogram or crest, with the hallmarks about 90% overall. An attractive piece for the collection.
