Here today for your consideration we have this superb antique sterling silver cutlery set, with pieces from some of the best London makers of the time. The set is a complete setting for twelve including table/soup spoons, dessert spoons, dinner forks, entree forks, dinner knives and entree knives. The breakdown of makers and dates is as below:

Dinner forks:
Chawner & Co, 1861 (5); Francis Higgins & Sons, 1932 (7) - total weight 1,056gm
Dessert spoons:
Holland, Aldwinckle & Slater, 1904 (8); Francis Higgins & Sons, 1932 (4) - total weight 683gms
Entree forks:
Chawner & Co, 1861 (6); Holland, Aldwinckle & Slater, 1912 (1); Francis Higgins & Sons, 1932 (5) - total weight 662gms

Condition is good throughout, with no major damage to note. The pattern is without serious wear, with each piece identically crested to the face (knives are without crest). The hallmarks are in good condition throughout (Chawner hallmarks fading), with each piece of matching size and gauge. The knives are in good condition with sharp blades and unfilled handles. A very fine matched set in a desirable and hard to find pattern.
The spoons measure 23cm and 18cm long. The forks measure 21cm and 17.5cm long. The knives measure 26cm and 22cm long. Unpacked, the set weighs in at a very impressive 5,155gms (165.7 troy ounce).
