Here today for your consideration we have this beautiful Edwardian sterling silver cutlery set, made by James Dixon & Sons Ltd of Sheffield, c-1909. The set includes six dinner forks, six dinners knives and four table or serving spoons and has been produced in the popular Kings pattern, being of exceptional quality and gauge throughout. Condition is good used, with some discolouration evident to the original steel knife blades (still very sharp!). The set is free from monogram or crest (erased to face), with the hallmarks clearly struck throughout. A wonderful set for the collection.
The knives, spoons and forks measure 27cm, 23cm and 21cm long respectively. The set has a total combined weight of 1,500gms, with the sterling silver accounting for a generous 989gms of this.
