Here today for your consideration we have this beautiful Edwardian sterling silver five-piece cruet set, made by C S Harris & Sons Ltd of London, c-1907/1908. The set includes two open salt cellars, two pepperettes and a lidded mustard pot, each having matching design and hallmark. The set features a pierced and pressed design with typical wreath patterning throughout, being of very good quality throughout. Condition is good throughout, with some salt corrosion evident to the salt rims and interiors, and some impact damage to one pepperette lid (per photos). The cobalt-blue glass liners are well fitting and in good condition, having no chips or cracks (a couple of very minor nibbles in places, visible with loupe). Each piece is free from monogram or crest, with the hallmarks well struck to the each piece. A very attractive cruet set for the collection.
Each cellar stands 38mm tall and measures 70mm x 48mm at the rim, with the pepperettes standing 67mm tall. Unpacked, the set weighs in at 416gms, with the silver accounting for 187gms of this.
