Here today for your consideration we have this superb Edwardian sterling silver serving bowl, made by George Nathan & Ridley Hayes of Chester, c-1901. The bowl is of oval form with extensive piercing throughout and pressed grape motifs to the rim, being of very good quality and gauge throughout. Condition is good used, with damage limited to one small separation at the rim (per photo). The bowl is free from monogram or crest, with the hallmarks about 80% overall. A fine and versatile sterling bowl for the collection.
The bowl stands 8cm tall and measures 16.5cm x 13cm at the rim. Unpacked, it weighs in at a respectable 280gms.
The final photo shows the piece with a champagne bottle. This is purely to show the proportions and is not included in the sale.
