Antique Art Deco 1949 Heavy Sterling Silver Cased Ladies Powder Compact Mirror

Here today for your consideration we have this beautiful vintage sterling silver ladies powder compact, made by David Sutton & Sons of London, c-1949. The piece features engine turned detail throughout with gilt interior and fitted case, being of very good quality and gauge throughout. Condition is good used, with no major damage to note (some minor clouding to the mirror evident). The compact is free from monogram or crest, with the hallmarks well struck. An attractive and useful piece for the collection.

Excluding the case, the compact measures 7.5cm square. Unpacked, the total set weighs in at 198gms with the compact (including mirror and sieve) weighing an impressive 176gms.
