Here today for your consideration we have this beautiful Art Deco twenty-four piece sterling silver fish or dessert cutlery service, made by Thomas Bradbury & Sons Ltd of Sheffield, c-1933-1936. The set includes twelve knives and twelve forks, each having xylonite handles and sterling silver blades and tines. Condition is good used, with no major damage to note (some minor and even discolouration to some handles; nothing too serious). Six of the forks feature a full thread pattern to the face, with the other six featuring a terminating thread (per photos). The set is free from monogram or crest, with the hallmarks well struck throughout. The timber canteen is in good order with hinges operating smoothly (no key). A very fine and versatile set of 20th century sterling silver cutlery for the table.
The knives and forks measure 19.5cm and 16cm long respectively, with the boxed set weighing in at 2.23kgs unpacked. The cutlery alone weighs in at a respectable 830gms unpacked.
