Antique 1929 Solid 9ct Yellow Gold Cricket Sports Medal Fob Pendant Batting Avg

Here today for your consideration we have this wonderful antique solid 9ct gold medal, presented to R.B Davis by W.B Walker of the Reid Brothers Cricket Club for the best batting average of season 1928-1929. The medal was likely made by Aronson & Co of Melbourne and is of round shape with floral border and raised batsman ingot to the centre, terminating in a scrolled gold ring loop. Condition is good used, with no major damage to note. The inscription is beautifully executed, with the hallmarks near worn. An excellent sporting medal for the collector, or talk to your jeweller about adding a bail to use as an eye-catching pendant. 

The medal measures 33mm x 26mm. Unpacked, it weighs in at 2.84gms.
