Antique 1914 Solid 9ct Yellow Gold Cricket Sports Medal Fob Pendant DSPS Batting

Here today for your consideration we have this wonderful antique solid 9ct gold medal, presented to H Alder by W. A Mahoney of the D Superior Public School for the best batting average in season 1913-1914. The medal was made by Robert Rollason of Sydney and is of embellished oval shape with brightwork and express shield cartouche to the centre, terminating in a gold chain loop. Condition is good used, with no major damage to note. The inscription is beautifully executed, with the hallmarks in good order. An excellent sports medal for the collector, or talk to your jeweller about adding a bail to use as an eye-catching pendant. 

The medal measures 36mm x 29mm. Unpacked, it weighs in at 3.94gms.
